This tutorial and our many others are suitable for ages 3 to 8 (preschool and above.) And why not check out our collection of free coloring pages for kids! A DNA strand is simply a string of nucleotides joined together. I can show how this happens perfectly well by going back to a simpler diagram and not worrying about the structure of the bases.
